What you'll do
 
Join a Legal team where your input is valuable and your skills are put to use. Below are the opportunities that you'll have to make a difference in Intel Legal:
  • Provide counsel to business unit managers in legal issues involved in business operations, including driving industry-wide initiatives, complying with government regulations, protecting our intellectual property, negotiating and complying with contracts and resolving disputes.
  • Draft and negotiate patent, copyright, trade secret and hybrid licenses; development agreements; supply and distribution agreements; develop and support execution of corporate intellectual property licensing strategy, including determination of third-party infringement of Intel patents.
  • Support Intel's corporate activities, including acquisitions, joint ventures (including equity joint ventures), venture investments and strategic partnerships. Handle stock/asset acquisitions, bridge financing and other investment transactions, often with a technology-licensing component. Structure and negotiate deals, draft documents, coordinate with other attorneys and departments and manage outside counsel.
  • Obtain the appropriate intellectual property protection (patents, copyrights, trade secrets) for Intel® technology. Prepare and prosecute patent applications for Intel technology, including review and oversight for prosecution work by external law firms and counsel in miscellaneous patent-related intellectual property issues and assist in portfolio analysis and development.
  • Work with a wide range of clients regarding availability, use, protection, enforcement and licensing of Intel trademarks and brands worldwide.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy for complex commercial or intellectual property matters.
  • Serve as Intel’s link to governments at all levels worldwide. Working through a variety of projects, World Government Affairs maintains a supportive public policy environment to assure governments regard Intel as a valued global corporate citizen.
 
What you'll bring
 
We look for candidates with general legal, management and leadership skills that include:
  • Solid understanding of all four key legal areas (i.e. patent, intellectual property, license and trademark) and solid legal expertise in at least one of the key legal areas or other skills which are necessary in the support of legal activities such as infringement analysis and business analysis.
  • Communication, influencing and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated characteristics of a self-starter, initiating projects without detailed instruction and with individual responsibility for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
 
Opportunities
 
For intellectual property attorney positions, you must have a technical degree in addition to a law degree. Other attorney positions require a law degree. In addition, a technical degree is preferred.

We have opportunities for both recent college graduates as well as individuals with related work experience. In addition to attorney positions, we have various paralegal and contract management positions within the legal group.
